Syringing Wash onto Anterior Preparation
To minimize voids, many dentists use the air syringe technique to help reduce surface tension between the impression material, teeth and tissue . After syringing the prepared area(s), a stream of air is applied to uniformly disperse the impression material in a thin, consistent layer. A second application of wash material is necessary before seating the tray.
